Whats the difference?
When researching and selecting the ingredients for our products, we got stuck on this question. From our findings, we noticed that both Olive and Avocado oil had very similar nutrients, properties and benefits and so found ourselves at a bit of a cross roads.
You see both oils are often used for healthier cooking as they have great health benefits especially for the heart. They both are pressed from fruits and they generally contain equally amounts of saturated fat, calories and vitamins. These oils help with absorption of good nutrients, have Oleic Acid and Vitamin E which helps produce collagen and give moisture to the skin and or hair, accelerates healing and preventing hair breakage.
Both oils are also known to strengthen hair and protect it by really penetrating the hair shaft. It does the same for skin as it builds new healthy layers of skin and so for those of us with a history of dry hair or skin, we know how helpful this can be! Looking at these facts we decided we wouldn't use both oils in the same product as it seemed to just be a duplication.
So, how did we decide?

Well....being a company built on our faith and love, we loved the history of Olive Oil in the bible and the significance and quite honestly, that was the deal breaker.
Random Fact
Some classify Avocado and Olive oils as "Vegetable oils" but yet both sources are often referred to as "fruit" rather than "vegetables"....
The main benefits have been listed above.
